John Blackwell

McBee, S.C. Funeral services for John Edward Blackwell, age 75, who passed away March 26, will be held Thursday at 4:00 at the Union United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Union Methodist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Mr. Blackwell was born in McBee a son of the late John S. (Pete) and Effie Mozingo Blackwell. He had been a Police Officer in the Town of McBee. Surviving are four sons. Scott (Genia) Blackwell, Mitchell Blackwell, Dale (Tammy) Blackwell and Roger (Crystal) Johnson, all of McBee; one daughter, Myra Mills, McBee; one sister, Shelby (Sam) Gardner, McBee; 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John Martin Blackwell and a brother, Pete Junior Blackwell. www.nortonfh.net.
