Graveside service for Joan Everest Shuford Long will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Mrs. Long passed away on  Monday, November 20, 2017 and was preceded in death by Carlton Wesley Long, father of their sons John Carlton Long (Joan) of Columbia, SC and Steven Ashley Long.

Born in Greenwood, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late John Lawrence (Jack) Shuford and Eileen Elizabeth Plampin Shuford.  Surviving also are her brothers Jacob Shuford (Cathy) of Tampa, Fl; John Hope Shuford (Glenda) of Kitty Hawk, NC; and her sister, Mary Ann Boyd (Hal) of Mt. Pleasant, SC.  Step-Mother Ruth Perry Shuford of Bishopville, SC and her children Dale Underwood of Walhalla, SC; Steve Petty (Debbie) of Walhalla, SC; Carolyn Sloane (Randy) of Merryville, TN; Mark Petty (Sheila) of Columbia, SC; and Julie Bates of Bluffton, SC.

She also leaves behind her grandson, Jonathan Wesley Long (Susan) of Richmond, VA; her granddaughter, Shelley Elizabeth Mann (Brice) of Columbia, SC; and a great-grandson, Woods Carter Mann.
