     Mr. Jesus Hernandez “Chucho” Diaz, 24, passed away Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024.

     Mr. Diaz was born in Florence, SC and raised off St. Charles Road in the Mayesville area of Lee County.   He was a son of Luis Diaz Jimenez & Nieves Hernandez Osorio.   Mr. Diaz attended Lower Lee Elementary, Lee Central Middle and High School where he met many lifelong friends.   Following high-school graduation, he attended Central Carolina College and received his certificate for welding.   

     After college, he traveled to many states to work including Texas, Florida, Tennessee, and Oklahoma, just to name a few.   He was a Structural Welder/Ironworker with 5 years of experience and 3 years of experience in the MillRight industry. 

     Chucho grew up watching his father work on cars, which fueled his passion for them.  Simultaneously, he strengthened his ambition for his goals, much like his mother.  He was beloved by many and made an impact that will last.  He always smiled and told jokes.  He loved his family and friends, and he showed it thought his actions.  

     Jesus will be remembered as strong, hard-working, outgoing, funny, ambitious, intelligent, and generous.  

     Surviving to continue his legacy is his wife, Daelynn Diaz; children, Camila Mar Diaz & Luis-Jesus Joaquin Diaz; parents; siblings: Carla Rosas-Hernandez, Jasmin Diaz, Luis “Yoyo” Hernandez-Diaz, and Carlos Osorio Jimenez.

     A private funeral service was held to honor the life of Mr. Diaz.

     Norton Funeral Home & Crematory of Bishopville was honored to serve the Diaz family.
