Jessie Deleslie Gibson, Jr.

Jessie Deleslie Gibson Jr. was born in Hartsville, SC, at Byerly Hospital on April 27, 1963. Jessie graduated from Hartsville High School and then continued his education at Coker College, where he received his Bachelor's in Sociology. After college, Jessie accepted a job with the Social Security Administration, where he has worked for the last 21 years as a Claims Specialist. On December 31, 1992, he married his wife of 31 years, Crystal Byrd Gibson, and they were inseparable. Jessie was a family man, and his family was everything to him. He spent his life devoted to his wife and children and cherished making memories with them, doing weekend cookouts and family vacations.

Additionally, in his free time, you would find Jessie fishing, hunting, or going to the beach! Jessie was also a proud member of the Hartsville Masonic Lodge 173. Jessie lived a life rooted in love, family, and a strong work ethic. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His commitment to his family was unwavering, and he prioritized creating beautiful memories with them. Jessie was also a man of knowledge and wisdom, always willing to share his stories and insights with those around him. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went and had a heart full of kindness. 

Left to cherish his memory are his, Wife-Crystal Byrd Gibson; Children- Daughter Ashley Clark (Son in law Payton Clark), Son Jay Gibson III (Daughter in law Brittany Gibson), and Daughter Riley Gibson; Parents- J.D Gibson Sr. and Rosario Gibson ; Grandchildren- Kalub Clark, Amelia Barnett, J.D Gibson IV, Everett Gibson; Sisters- Angela Upchurch (brother-in-law Chip Upchurch), and Eva D. Gibson; Nieces- Jessica Upchurch, Joanna Upchurch; Nephew- Hampton Upchurch; Mother-in-law- Pamela S. Byrd; Brothers-in-law- Carson (Rock) Byrd, Eric Byrd; Nephew in law- Carson (Rocky) Byrd, Starter Byrd, Dexter Byrd, Brittany Byrd, Johnny Byrd, Mattingly Byrd.
