Jerry Legette Coker

Jerry Coker passed away on March 21, 2026, at the McLeod Hospice House. He was born in Lake City, SC on May 17, 1951.

Jerry was the son of the late Mary Olive Hanna Coker and the late Milton Doris Coker. Prior to retirement, his main line of work was in water main construction. He was a member of Savannah Advent Christian Church and was a graduate of Johnsonville High School and the University of South Carolina. He loved the Lord and served in many capacities at his church. His favorite area of service was SACC Kids Club. He loved the little ones!

He is survived by his daughter Amy (Jacob) Griggs of Hartsville; son Jeremy Coker of Hartsville; two grandchildren: Louis and Josie Griggs; siblings J. Kemp (Seana) Coker, Pamela A. (Allen) Antwine, and Yolanda C. (Little Bud) Powell, all of Johnsonville; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers M. Derrell Coker and Patrick A. Coker.

Memorial services will be held 4:00pm Thursday at Savannah Advent Church.  Pastor Carl Otis and Pastor Chris Pierce will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.  A private family burial will follow the services.
