It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jeanette, who departed this world peacefully on 5/19/23.

Jeanette was born in Dallas, NC on 10/1/1929 and was the daughter of the late Reel Lee Avery and Flossie Whisenant Avery. She retired from DuPont as an executive secretary, was a lifelong member of Bethune Baptist Church, and was a member of the Bethune Woman's Club.

Jeanette was an extraordinary woman who embraced life with boundless enthusiasm. She had a passion for exploring the world and embarked on numerous adventures that enriched her soul. We will remember her vibrant zest for life, her infectious laughter, and the unwavering love for her family.

Jeanette is survived by her grandsons, Eric "Clint" Walker and Shaun Christopher Worley, as well as special niece's Sheila and Emmy, along with best friend Ursula Archer. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband Charles "Charlie" Walker and her two sons, Charles "Chuck" Walker and Eric Lee Walker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Jeanette's memory or a charity of one's choice.
