Janus Welch

Hartsville - Mrs. Janus Howie Welch, 70, passed away Monday morning, August 19th, 2019.

A private family service will be held.

Mrs. Welch was born in Hartsville, a daughter of the late Bobby Johnson & Linda Edgeworth.  Janus was an artist who ran the frame shop, “Frame For You.”  She was a lover of animals, but also deeply loved her family.  Janus will be remembered as a free spirit who loved to dance.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dennis Okle Welch of the home; daughter, Jamel (Alan) Castro of Miami, Florida; grandchildren, Sienna Castro and Hailey Castro of Miami, Florida; siblings: Lydia Mims of Hartsville, Jennifer (Darren) Griggs of Hartsville, Jakki (Bama) Hagler of Florence, Jodi (Mike) Caddell of McBee; and 4 nieces and 2 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Dot Johnson.
