Mrs. Janet Dixon Moore, 67, of Hartsville, went to be with The Lord on Saturday morning, May 21st, 2022, while at home with her family.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon, May 24th, 2022, from Forest Hills Independent Baptist Church. Pastor Jim Murray and Pastor Danny Pierce will officiate with burial following in Westview Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family also invites friends to visit with them anytime at the home, 1636 Baywood Circle, Hartsville.
A native and lifelong resident of Hartsville, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Lee Edward & Mary Eunice Webb Dixon. Janet loved crocheting, making baby blankets and masks for others during the pandemic. Her family meant the world to her and she had a deep love for animals. She was a member of Forest Hills Independent Baptist Church and worked with the Darlington County Assessor’s Office; an office that took very good care of her.
Surviving are her children, Tammy (Louis) Commander of Hartsville and Bobby Joe (Bridgette) Wilkerson of Cheraw; grandchildren: Rachel (Jack) Mcgovern, Amber (Matt) Odom, Brandon Howe, Kaitlyn Wilkerson, Dawson Wilkerson, McKenzie Wilkerson, Hannah Johnson, Raven Hinson, Madison Hinson, Terry Lynn Hinson; great-grandchildren: Mason Moore, Elizabeth Todd, Ayden Odom, Everly Odom, Peyton Mcgovern; siblings: Betty Ann Dixon, Brenda Gilbert (Steve) Allen, Cheryl Rink, Robert (Sherry) Dixon; and 23 nieces & nephews.
