James Madison Pridgeon, Sr.

Funeral services for James Madison Pridgeon, Sr. age 76, will be held Tuesday at 3:00 at the Fourth Street Baptist Church. Rev. Harry Wallace and Rev. Steve Young will officiate. Burial will be in the Darlington Memory Gardens directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

James was born in Hartsville a son of the late Jennings Pridgeon and Gertrude Gandy Pipkins. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company after 27 years of service, a member of the Old Timers Club and after retirement he worked at  Clanton Auto Auction for 15 years. He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Becky Huggins Pridgeon, Hartsville; two grandchildren, Kelsey Pridgeon, Hartsville and Trey Pridgeon, Hartsville; daughter in law, Kelly Pridgeon, Hartsville; two sisters, Juanita (William) Pope, Ashland and Diane (Wade) O’Neal, Darlington. He was preceded in death by a son James Madison (Jim) Pridgeon, Jr.
