James William Morrison, Jr.

Mr. James William Morrison, Jr. age 63 passed away December 26. A memorial visitation with the family will be held on December 29, 2022 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the New Market United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 1909 West Old Camden Road, Hartsville, S.C. 29550

Jim was born in Florence a son of James William Morrison, Sr. and Ella Kelley Morrison. Jim graduated from Lincolnton High School in Lincolnton, N.C. and he served four years in the Air Force. Jim worked primarily in the fiber extrusion/technology industry for companies such as: Bretlin Carpets, Chatsworth, GA; GEM Packaging Co., Rome, GA, Syntec Industries, Rome, GA; Mosiac Color and Additives LLC, Greenville, S.C. from which he retired. Jim enjoyed cooking, working outdoors on his tractor, all forms of computer technology, and operating his HAM radio as W4YDX (Whiskey 4 Yankee Delta X-Ray).

Surviving is his wife of 31 years Ceil; parents Bud and Ella Morrison, Hartsville, S.C.; sister, Tina (Eddie) Goodson of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; brother, Mitch (Jamie) Morrison of Dalton, GA; daughter, Kelley Morrison of New York; grandchildren, Mariella and Alexander, loving aunts, uncles, cousins and the Rogers family whom he loved very much.
