James Leander Gardner, Sr.

James Leander Gardner, Sr. age 77 went to his Heavenly Home on December 27.  Visitation will be Sunday, from 2-3 prior to the funeral service beginning 3:00 at the Savannah Advent Christian Church. Rev. John Gallagher will officiate. Burial will be in the Savannah Advent Christian Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home.

Mr. Gardner was born in Hartsville a son of the late Maude Boatwright Gardner.

Jamie retired from Sonoco after 40 years. He loved South Carolina Gamecock football. He enjoyed classic cars and loved spending time with his family. He absolutely adored his grandchildren.

Jamie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wanda; his son, Glenn Gardner (Dana); daughter-in-law, Kim Gardner; 5 grandchildren, Trey (Kerrigan), Chelsea, Preston, Gavin, and Brooklyn Gardner; and his sister, Linda West.

He is preceded in death by his son, James (Jamie) Gardner, Jr., and his brother, Wilson Gardner, Jr.
