Jack Kenneth "Ken" Perdue

Mr. Jack Kenneth “Ken” Perdue, 82, from the Brown Springs Community of Hartsville, passed away Sunday evening, August 14^th, 2022, while at home with his family.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 on Wednesday afternoon, August 17^th, 2022, from Cedar Creek Baptist Church.  Reverend Jeff Williams and Reverend William Griggs will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends anytime on Tuesday at the residence, 1987 Brown Springs Church Rd, Hartsville.

Mr. Perdue was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Charlie & Jessie Mae Griggs Perdue.  Ken loved working outdoors in his garden and with farm animals.  He retired from RBC Bearings in Hartsville, greatly loved his family, never met a stranger, and was never wrong about anything. 

Surviving are his son, Larry (Susan) Perdue of Hartsville; son-in-law, John Polson of Hartsville; grandchildren: Brandy (Ray) Hemby, Justin (Charlotte) Polson; great-grandchildren: Whitney Hemby Williams, Arleigh Polson, Gunnar Polson; sister, Margie Ann Perdue; special friend, Nora Ray; and caretaker/family friend, Sandra Weatherford.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sylvia Ann Perdue; daughter, Shelia Polson; siblings: James Perdue, Charles Perdue, and Ollie Tolson.
