Henry Rhodes Middleton, Jr. age 72, formerly of Hartsville passed away December 30 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 at the Magnolia Cemetery in Hartsville directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Edward Herlong will officiate. Visitation will be following the service.
Henry was born in Hartsville a son of the late Henry Rhodes Middleton, Sr. and Azile Byrd Middleton. He worked at Sonoco Products Company for 16 years and retired from the Darlington County Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy. He coached Little League Baseball and Football for several years. He loved his family, fishing, his dogs and the Carolina Gamecocks.
Surviving are his wife, Judy McInville Middleton, Myrtle Beach; one daughter, Wyndi Vann, Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Austin (Amber) Vann, Hartsville and Gatlin Vann, Myrtle Beach; four great grandchildren, Ally Vann, Addy Vann, Miles Vann, Hartsville and Maddox Moore, Myrtle Beach; two sisters, Ethel Woodham, Oates and Catherine ( Joseph) Saleeby, Columbia. He was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Middleton.
