Henry Dudley Tyner

Mr. Henry Dudley Tyner, 80, of Darlington, passed away Saturday, March 7th, 2020.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 on Tuesday afternoon, March 10th, 2020, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Reverend Brad Griese will officiate with burial following in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born in Chesterfield, Mr. Tyner was a son of the late John H. & Sallie Griggs Tyner.  He was a carpenter by trade and loved to fish.

Surviving are his children: Sarah (Jerry) Gainey of Darlington, Woody Tyner of Hartsville, Gloria (Randy Atkinson) Smith of Hartsville, Joseph (Keri Davis) Tyner of Darlington; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beatrice Boan of Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Edward Tyner; siblings: Sid Tyner, J.D. Tyner, William Tyner, Ed Ray Tyner, Dewey Tyner, Lucy Mae Howle, Ruth Teal, and Mildred Howle.
