It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Mr. Glenn Charles Traweek, Sr. age 80. Glenn passed away September 18, while at his daughter's home in Spartanburg.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the Magnolia Cemetery with full Military Honors, directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Murray will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

 Glenn was born in McAllen Tx a son of the late Charles & Rita Traweek. Raised in Houma, Louisiana and graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1961.He earned an Eagle Scout and later in life led Scout Troop 512 in Hartsville SC. Glenn went straight into the Army after high school where he met the love of his life Sylvia Ann Manship and married in 1967 at Fort Jackson. He served 2 tours in Vietnam where he was injured and earned the purple heart. Glenn then had a break in service and taught school a few years at Butler High School and progressed to Assistant Principal there as well. He then decided that that he missed the military life and reenlisted in 1982. He finished his career in 2000 after 26 years of service as a Lt. Coronel. He and his wife Ann returned to Hartville to enjoy retirement with friends and family.

Surviving is one daughter Sharon (John) Hudson; one Sister Bonnie (the late Bob) Edwards; Grandchildren, James Coleman (Danni) Hudson, Matthew Charles (Fiancé Kaleena Dotson) Hudson; Andrew Charles Traweek, and Ava Grace Traweek. Also survived by the newest family member, Great grandson Abel Coleman Hudson

 In addition to his parents Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Traweek; one son Glenn Charles Traweek Jr and one brother, James Michael Traweek.
