Graveside services for Geraldine Cook Ellison age 92 will be held Sunday at 2:00 at the Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Bishop Karl Ensign will officiate. Visitation will be following the graveside service.
Mrs. Ellison was born in Pacolet Mills, S.C. the daughter of the late Dewey Cook and Minnie Etter Bryant Cook. She was a faithful member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was involved in Compassionate Services, a Visiting Teacher since 1960, Relief Society Counselor, President of Young Women, President of the Primary Department and a Sunday School Teacher. She served in the Washington, D.C. Temple from 1979 – 1982 and served in the Columbia, S.C. Temple from 1999-2011 along with her husband.
Surviving is one son, Gary Ellison, Hartsville; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents ,she was preceded in death by her husband, Heber J. Ellison; one son, David Kim Ellison; two daughters, Sherry Tallon and Trudy Watson; one grandson, James Russell (Russ) Watson, Jr.; three brothers, Foy Cook, Lee Cook and Harold Cook; four sisters, Vera Petty, Margaret Byrd, Loree Hodges and Betty Jo Howell.
