Graveside services for Georgia Mae Hopkins Welch, age 90 will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Bethany Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Rev. Cecil Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be following the graveside service.

Mrs. Welch was born in Bishopville a daughter of the late Ollie Hopkins and Pearl Griggs Hopkins. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church. She was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving is three special grandchildren, Joni (Anthony) Turner, Bishopville, Wendy (Greg) Fleming, Baltimore, MD and Erica (Aerianiah) Dixon, Bishopville; Megan Negrete, Virginia; two sons, Charles Edward (Charlene) Welch, Bishopville and Benjamin Kenneth Welch, Virginia; daughter in law, Kathryn L. Welch, Bishopville; brother in law, Leon McCoy, McBee, S.C.; Special niece, Cindy (Kenny) Capell, Hartsville; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Eugene Welch, Sr.; son. Benny Eugene Welch, Jr.; daughter, Brenda Welch Gillespie; 3 sisters, Ruby Watkins, Gladys Watkins and Lou Doris McCoy; 2 brothers, Russell Hopkins and Harvey Hopkins.
