Mrs. Frances Hayden Gainey, 81, was called to her Heavenly home on Thursday afternoon, November 28th, 2024, while at Carolina Pines RMC, with her family by her side.
A native and lifelong resident of Hartsville, Mrs. Gainey was a daughter of the late Roy Benjamin & Etta Atkinson Hayden. Frances worked with Sara Lee Hosiery until their closing and then worked with RBC Bearings until her passing. Years ago, Frances was asked what she wanted to be remembered by and she responded, “a hard-worker and I loved The Lord.” She attended Forest Hills Independent Baptist Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Vicki (Harold) DuBose of Hartsville; grandchildren, Lauren (Wes) Hardymon and Adam (Irby) DuBose, both of Hartsville; great-grandchildren: Rory Hardymon, Camille Hardymon, Eliza Hardymon, Wallace DuBose, Law DuBose, and Haynes DuBose; siblings, Zuline Fales and Bobby (Linda) Hayden, both of Hartsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyndal Gainey; and son, Anthony Dozier.
Her service will be conducted at 2:00 on Sunday afternoon, December 1st, 2024, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Murray officiating. The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the funeral home. A private committal will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
