It is with sad hearts that we announce the death of Ms. Emmie Miriam Fields age 84. Ms. Fields passed away December 2, 2025, while at McCoy Nursing Center.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday December 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home, Bishopville. Rev. Paul Priest will officiate. A visitation wlll be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be held.

Ms. Fields was born in Sumter a daughter of the late Theron Howard Fields, Sr. and Anna Laura Parnell Fields. She was a graduate of Maywood High School.

Surviving is one daughter, April Courson, Myrtle Beach and one sister, Bessie Louise (John) Kinlaw of Bishopville; A special friend Jerry Bedsole and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Wadford, Annie Hutson, Rebecca King and Ava Irick; two brothers, Hamer A. Fields and Theron Howard Fields, Jr.
