Elvey Vernon Hatchell

We are saddened to announce the passing of Elvey Vernon Hatchell.  Memorial services for Mr. Hatchell age 62 will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.  Visitation will follow the services.

Mr. Hatchell passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022. He was born in Columbia, SC the son of the late Leon Hatchell and Elizabeth Brown Hatchell.  He was a truck driver, has worked at Gibson Wheel Alignment.  He loved to fish and enjoyed drawing.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Hatchell, Hartsville; daughter, Helen “Ann” (Rafa) Hernandez, Hartsville; grandchildren, Joshua Hatchell, Robert Heath and Dylan Hatchell; great grandchildren, Mackenzlee Hatchell and Leeland Hatchell; brother, Velvet Hatchell; sisters, Brenda Davis, Tammy Hatchell and Veverly Leviner.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joey Hatchell.
