View Remembrance Video Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Ella Mae Grooms, age 84, who passed away peacefully at her residence on September 28, will be held Thursday at 2:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery in McColl. Rev. Ted Windham and Rev. Dan Weber will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Grooms was born in Conway a daughter of the late Thurmond Gary & Mary Etta Cannon Hatcher. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and later a member of Florence Baptist Temple. She retired from the Darlington County Council on Aging. Surviving are one son, Willie M. (Billy) Grooms, Jr., Hartsville; one daughter, Beverly (Larry) Stogner, Anderson, Indiana; nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie M. Grooms, Sr. Norton Funeral Home is honored to serve the Grooms family.
