Ella Beth Smith Byrd

Graveside services for Mrs. Ella Beth Smith Byrd, age 82, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 at the Smith-Outlaw Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Neal Nolan will officiate. Visitation will be following the service at the graveside.

Mrs. Byrd was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late Coley Smith and Ella Mae Hancock Smith. As a child she and her family enjoyed going to churches singing. She was a selfless wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving is one son, Troy (Mechelle) Byrd, Florence; two grandchildren, India Byrd and Ethan Byrd, Florence; three sisters, Daphene Massingale, Hartsville, Naomi (Robert) Isgett, Hartsville and Darrie O'Neill, Hartsville. one brother, Burnie Smith, Hartsville. Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Heyward Byrd, one sister, Yvonne Smith; three brothers, Donald Smith, Emmitt Smith and Wilford Smith.
