Funeral services for Edwin Maxie (Mackie) Davis, Jr. age 64 will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mackie was born in Charlotte a son of Essie Mae Jordan Davis and the late Edwin Maxie Davis, Sr. He had worked in Construction and the Big M Superette. He was an avid lover of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Clemson Tigers. He loved to cook and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his mother, Hartsville; two daughters, Missy (Clint) Stone, Hartsville and April Evans, Darlington; one sister Jean (David) Miller, Raleigh; four grandchildren, Zack Evans, Florence, Rion Porter, Hartsville, Dylan McGowan, Hartsville and Christian McGowan, Hartsville; two special children that he loved as his own grandchildren, Arianna & Anthony Gathings. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Davis.
