Earnest McArthur Setzer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Earnest McArthur Setzer, Sr. age 75. Mr. Setzer passed away at his residence on October 31, 2025 with his loving family by his side.

Earnest was born in Johnson City, TN a son of the late Loyd Tast Setzer and Rosie Lee Rose Setzer. He was a retired Auto Mechanic.

Surviving is his wife, Margaret Anderson Setzer, Darlington; four children, Dallas Jarrett, Ernest Setzer, II, Tosha Whitehead and Crystal Muncey; two brothers, Willie and Manuel Setzer; two sisters, Rachael Stanley and Debbie Synder; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Earnest McArthur Setzer, Jr. and Timothy Setzer.

The date and time of a Memorial Service will be announced later.
