Mrs. Dutton was born in Augusta, Georgia, but was raised in the Abbeville area of South Carolina where she graduated from high school. She loved to decorate so much until she made it her career for a short while. Although Earline loved to decorate, her true love and devotion was to her family and especially her husband who was in the ministry. She loved and supported him through 55 years of service to our Lord.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children: Reverend Richard Allen (Deborah) Dutton of Hartsville, Thomas Dwayne (Jill) Dutton, Sr. of Hartsville, Reverend Joseph Howard (Lynette) Dutton of Forest City, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reverend James Lloyd Dutton, Sr., son, Reverend James Lloyd Dutton, Jr.; siblings, Howard Peterman and Janice Musgrove.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Drs. Chapman, Powell, and the entire of staff at Morrell Nursing Center.
Memorials may be made to Praise Temple at 817 North Marquis Highway, Hartsville, South Carolina 29550.
Norton Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Dutton family.
