View Remembrance Video Bishopville, SC Services for Mr. Douglas William Brantley age 72 will be held Sunday at 3:00pm at Chapel of Norton Funeral Home in Bishopville. Rev. Allen Lynch will officiate. Visitation will be held 1:30-3:00pm at the funeral home on Sunday. Mr. Brantley passed away Thursday October 15, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Miami, FL the son of Wilma Elizabeth Gobbel Brantley and the late James Jeffro Brantley. He was a retired Pressman from the Orlando Sentinel. Surviving are his mother; hiswife of 52 years, Patricia Fowler Brantley, Bishopville; sons, Donald W. Brantley and Robert D. Brantley both of Bishopville; daughter, Tara M. Brantley, Bishopville; brother, Daniel H. Brantley, Florida; grandchildren, Lindsay Brantley, Brianna Brantley, Josef Williams, Kassandra Williams, Shane Bachman. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of SC and the Comfort Keepers of Sumter for the special care they gave to Mr. Brantley during his illness.
