Dorothy (Dot) Harris Amerson

Hartsville, S.C.

Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) Harris Amerson, age 85 went home to her Heavenly Father on September 20 while at McLeod Hospice House with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 at the Pine Ridge Holiness Church. Rev. Phillip Jones and Rev. Dennis Lear will officiate. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Dot was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Ruben and Geneva Caples Harris. She was a member of the Pine Ridge Holiness Church and retired as a Beautician and worked at Sara Lee Hosiery for several years. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family and working in her yard.

Surviving is her husband, Archie Lavelle Amerson, Hartsville; one son, Tom (Jackie) Amerson, Hartsville; four grandchildren, Tony Amerson, McBee, Amanda (Ryland) Cole, McBee, Spencer (Katlyn) Amerson, Hartsville and Misti (Coree) Lane, Hartsville; eight great grandchildren, Sydney Amerson, Daylee Amerson, Ayla Cole, Kaylen Cole, Lexi Lane, Stanlee Lane, Weslee Lane and Phillip Amerson; two brothers, Don (Brenda) Harris, Lamar and Roy (Earline) Harris, Hartsville; one sister, Linda Fountain, Lamar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Dale Amerson and Phillip LeRoy Amerson; two grandchildren, Rocky Amerson and Robbie Amerson.
