Doris Aliher Myers

Doris Aliher Felkel Myers, best known as Aliher to her family and friends gained her Heavenly wings on Friday, April 1, 2022.

She was born May 14, 1951 to Harold Ernest Felkel and Inez Kissiah Felkel. She attended Hartsville High School and continued her education at Florence Darlington Technical College in Engineering Graphics. She worked at General Electric and Sonoco using CAD programs and blueprint revision.

Aliher never met a stranger. With a beautiful smile and outgoing personality she had lots of friends. She was the happiest living near the lake with her late husband where they spent a lot of time fishing. They were both avid Shag dancers and shared a lot memories dancing to their favorite song Miss Grace.

She is survived  by her mother; her sisters Algie McGregor (Larry), Charlene Broach, brother Chuck Felkel, brother Winston Johnson as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, along with aunts and uncles. She is also survived by her sweet feline fur baby Briar whom she rescued and a special friend Jo Lynch (Larry).

 She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry A. Myers, her father and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 6 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home.
