Donna Brown Davis

Hartsville, SC 

     While with her family by the bedside, on Tuesday evening, March 31st, 2026, Mrs. Donna Brown Davis was called home to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 61 years old.  

     Mrs. Brown was born in Hartsville on Christmas Eve, and was a proud graduate of McBee High School. She had a deep love for traveling, with the mountains always holding a special place in her heart. She enjoyed spending time exploring flea markets and thrift shops and was known to many as the “coupon queen.” Donna was always determined to make sure no one paid full price.

     She cherished her 10+ years at Hartsville Drug, where she formed meaningful connections with her customers. After becoming disabled, she greatly missed seeing them, and it always brought her joy to hear that others were asking about her.

     She found happiness in cooking and serving others, often volunteering for events and gatherings. In her earlier years, she spent countless hours outdoors, tending to her flower beds and gardens.

     She welcomed everyone with open arms, treating her daughter’s friends and their children as her own. She was affectionately known by many as “Ma-Donna and Nonna.” Above all, she was a devoted and loving mother. There was never a day she did not say, “I love you so very much.” This was a cherished part of her and Danielle’s nightly routine. She truly was the very best mother.

     Surviving is her daughter, Danielle (Taylor) Kirkland; stepdaughter, Kelli (Buddy) Odom; and her brother, Mack Brown.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Heyward and Vadaree Brown; brothers, Wayne Brown and David Brown; and the love of her life, her husband, Mark Davis.

     The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to dear friends and to their Faith Baptist Church family for the love and support shown during this time.

     In honoring Donna’s wishes, no formal service will be held. However, Taylor and Danielle invite family and friends to gather, share memories, and celebrate her life on Tuesday evening, April 7th, 2026, from 5:30 – 7:30 at Faith Baptist Church - 3403 Lee State Park Road, Bishopville, SC 29010.

     In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the McLeod Cancer Clinic – 401 E. Cheves St. Florence, SC 29506.
