Donald Junior Gainey, Sr. age 78 passed away October 11 at MUSC Health. No funeral services are planed at this time.

Donald was born in McBee a son of the late Sandy Wilson and Katherine McGugan Gainey. He had worked at A.O. Smith.

Surviving are three sons, Donald Junior (Nan Phan) Gainey, Jr., Charlotte, William Horace (Donna) Gainey, McBee and Sandy Wilson Gainey, Pelzer; two grandchildren, Blake & Brittany Gainey; two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Blackwell Gainey.
