Donald Ray Sylvester

Mr. Donald Ray Sylvester age 89 went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 24 while at the McLeod Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 at the Savannah Advent Christian Church. Rev. John Gallagher will officiate. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday 5-7 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Sylvester was born in Bosie Idaho, a son of the late Eugene Vernon and Louise Kiser Sylvester. He was retired from Sonoco Products Company after 30 years of service, was a member of the Old Timers Club and a member of Savannah Advent Christian Church.

Surviving is his wife, Lib Grantham Sylvester, Hartsville; one daughter, Sharon (Keith) Moore, Hartsville; two brothers, Gene (Sarah) Sylvester, Florence and Walter Sylvester, Bishopville; two grandchildren, Bart and Bret Moore, Hartsville; two great grandchildren, Skyler and Jackson Moore, Hartsville.
