Donald J Hodges

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Donald J. Hodges, age 83. Mr. Hodges went to his Heavenly Home on September 17, 2026 while at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 pm at the Swift Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Donald Wallace will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Swift Creek Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. 

Donald was born in Hartsville a son of the late Paul E. Hodges and Nora Brown Hodges. He was a member of the Swift Creek Baptist Church where he was serving as a Deacon. He was a Landscaper, loved to fish on the river and was a great cook.

Surviving is his wife, Margaret Atkinson Griggs, Hartsville; three sons, Todd Hodges, Bishopville, David Griggs, Hartsville and Justin Hodges; one grandchild, Jessica (Seth) Hodges Starnes, Lancaster; one great grandson, Rollings Starnes, Lancaster.
