Don Junior Dixon

Hartsville, SC

    It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don Junior Dixon. Mr. Dixon, 69, passed away during the early morning hours of Monday, August 4th, 2025, while at home with his family.

    Mr. Dixon was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Edward & Lila Mae Gainey Dixon. Don enjoyed fishing and watching the Atlanta Braves. He will also be remembered for supporting everyone, and he dearly loved being a Sunday School Teacher.

    Surviving is his wife, Dorothy O. Dixon; children, Terri Dixon and Alicia (Jesse Shepard) Dixon; grandchildren: Hunter Allen Atkinson, Randall Drake Cooke, Skyla Grace Johnson, Alektra Hudson, Ivy Rayne Dixon, Kaden Brice Johnson, and Allen Dwayne Hudson; nieces and nephews: Victoria Leigh Beasley, Angie Brown, Michael Brown, Amy Dixon, Eric Dixon, Anita, Angel, Jamie Williams, and Billy Gilliland; son-in-law, Dalton Atkinson; and sister-in-law, Joyce Odom Darnell.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Earl Dixon and Edward Pearson.

    His memorial service will be conducted at 11 o’clock on Monday morning, August 11th, 2025, from the Church of God of Prophecy with Reverend Jimmy Jeffords and Reverend Marvin Griggs officiating. The family will speak with friends following the service at the church.
