Dennis William Harker

Hartsville, SC

     It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Dennis William Harker. Mr. Harker passed away Sunday morning, November 9th, 2025, while with his family at English Meadows. He was 78 years old.

     Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Dennis was a son of the late Marion Harker & Betty Hill Smalley. He loved going to different restaurants, trying any new items on the menu. Every Thanksgiving, he and his family would go to Breckinridge to ski. He loved his family dearly and was known as a workaholic.

     Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Teri Burnham; daughter, Brandie Avery; grandchildren, Autumn Avery and Amber Avery; brother, Gary Harker and other numerous siblings. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Shad William Harker and Tad Tyler Harker.

     A service in celebration of his life will be held at a future date in Iowa.
