David Algernon “Al” Williams, III, left this home from Covid on March 28th, 2021, and is at home now with his Savior.
Al was a loving husband, “Daddy,” brother, friend and always a willing and helpful volunteer.
He was very passionate about both children. Ethan, his son (wife Sydni) and Shannon, his daughter (husband Jason Kang). Al was an affectionate husband to Pam and spent as much time as he could with family. Sharing his cooking and gardening skills with his family proved much more rewarding than sharing his dancing skills. So many memories!
Al (Pop) met his little granddaughter, Elsie Hope Williams, soon after she was born February 9th, 2021. Elsie was serenaded by Pop with a few “off key” songs, but she didn’t seem to mind them.
Lucile and Algy Williams were Al’s parents.
His sweet sisters are Lynn Epperly, Jan Cooler, and Shari Gainey. All of them have special memories of their brother.
Retirement came in August of 2019 from Sonoco for Al. Thirty years of dedication.
A very helpful, kind, simple, loving spirit left us too soon, but Al’s impact on the lives of many will remain and live on.
Norton Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the Williams family.
