Daniel Elihu Rhoad, Sr.

Mr. Daniel (Danny) E. Rhoad, Sr of McBee, SC passed away peacefully at home on July 18, 2026 at the age of 75.

He was born on December 19, 1950 to DT and Catherine Rhoad. He met his soulmate,Jenny, while attending McBee High School. After graduating, he continued to pursue a career in logging and eventually started his own business, Rhoad Timber Company.  For many years, he enjoyed racing his #3 Rhoad Runner. He loved catfishing, but his greatest joy was watching the younger generation catch fish and teaching them the art. He was passionate about his garden and enjoyed feeding countless families with his bountiful harvest. He shared his love of gardening with his grandsons and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 on Tuesday afternoon, July 21, 2026, at McBee Presbyterian Church with burial at Rhoad Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the home on Monday, July 20, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 PM.

Surviving to carry on his memory are his wife, Jenny, and children, Toni (Keith) Allison, Ali (Bryan) Wight, and Daniel Rhoad; grandchildren: Haley (Junior) O’Neal, Tylar (James) Ackerman, Garrett (Katie) Allison, Austin (Paige) Allison, Jacob (Emilee) Allison, Hannah Maybry, Emily Rhoad, and Dana Rhoad; great-grandchildren, Allie Beth and Harrison O’Neal, Virginia, Ellerie, Isaac, and Selah Ackerman, Kinsley and Walker Allison, Laiken and Weston Allison; siblings, Cathy Almond and brother-in-law, Darrel Johnson; and many nieces and nephews including the heart of our family, Amy Almond.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Judy Johnson, Jan Mixon, Ginger Mixon, Sandy Boykin, Doty Rhoad, David Rhoad, and Dean Rhoad.
