Private memorial services for Cynthia (Cindy) Smith Askins age 60 will be held at a later date.  A visitation will be held Friday, September 28 from 5:00-7:00pm at Norton Funeral Home.

Cindy passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Camden the daughter of Henrietta Peavy Smith and the late Clifton Smith.  Cindy will be remembered as having a wonderful spirit, who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are her mother of Hartsville; her husband of 17 years, Dan Askins, Jr, Hartsville; children, Taylor (Stacy) Lail, Bethlehem, NC, Becky (Jeff) Weaver, Hartsville, Dan (Susan) Askins, III, Hartsville, Kirk (Meredith) Askins, Hartsville; eight grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Lett) Carroll, Camden; brother, Allen (Sally) Smith, Hartsville; several special nieces and nephews; sister in law, Theresa Smith.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Smith.
