Mrs. Crystal Rene’ Gainey-Liles, 54, went home to be with The Lord on Friday, June 26th, 2026.
Crystal was the beloved daughter of David and Gloria Shoemake and Carrol and Kim Gainey, all of Hartsville.
She was preceded in death by her precious grandson, Ace Baxley Cribb; and her grandparents, China and Viola Mixon, and Tad and Christine Gainey.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving parents; partner, Darren Gainey; her two brothers, Darrel Gainey, and Carroll Gainey of Hartsville; two stepbrothers, Corey, and Joey Griggs; 3 daughters: Brittany Wilhelm (Jason) of Hartsville, Megan Lane (Shane Sweat) of Bennettsville, and Madison Perkins of Hartsville. She also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Kobey Wilhelm, Kaleb Wilhelm, Kamry Wilhelm, Brycen Cribb (Ava), Mahlea Cribb (Rayce), Paisley Lane, Ryder Lane, and her great-grandson, Baylor Cribb. She is also survived by her special family friend, John Johnson, and her dear friend, Jessica Beasley.
Crystal was full of life and had a heart that overflowed with love for her family. She especially treasured the time she spent with her mom, daughters, and grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She was known for her beautiful spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless energy. Whether she was playing with her grandchildren, making those around her smile, decorating homes, or taking peaceful walks through Kalmia Gardens. Crystal embraced every moment with love and enthusiasm.
She was be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and precious memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
The funeral service will be conducted at 4 o’clock on Thursday afternoon, July 2nd, 2026, from Clyde Church of God. Reverends James Petty, Jimmy Jeffords, and Cliff Leonard will officiate with a committal following in the church cemetery. The family welcomes friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
