Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Charles Wayne Thomas, Sr. age 83, who passed away August 13, will be held Friday at 11:00 am at the Forest Hills Independent Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Murray & Rev. John C. Smith, Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Westview Memorial Cemetery directed by Norton Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Mr. Thomas was born in Manning a son of the late Frank W. & Maye Folsom Thomas. He graduated from Lydia High School and was an Army Veteran of WW II. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Deleane Flowers Thomas, Hartsville, son, Charles Wayne Thomas, Jr., Sumter, sisters, Francis Tew, Raleigh, Ruth Cartee, Hartsville, grandchild, Christopher Steven Thomas, Shelby, Ala.
