Charles Ray Leonard, Jr.

     It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of Mr. Charles Ray Leonard, Jr. Mr. Leonard passed away while at home on Monday, June 15th, 2026, at the age of 53.

     Charles was born in Clermont, FL, a son of Charles Leonard, Sr. and the late, Janie Dixon Kirkland. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, Miami Dolphins, Miami Hurricanes, and the Atlanta Braves. He had a career spanning over 20 years with Pee Dee Fleet. Charles had a big heart and cared deeply about his family and friends.

     Those surviving to cherish his memory are his father and stepmother, Charles and Pat Leonard; grandmother, Juanita Leonard; children, Zachary Leonard and Breanna Leonard; cousins, Glenda Dixon and Ricky Leonard; aunts: Melinda Leonard, Sharon Leonard, and Vonda Leonard; stepsiblings: Michael (Stephanie) Kirkland, Carl Griffen, Sandy Taylor, and Danielle (David) Owens. Charles also had a special spot in his heart for Susie Davis, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in passing by his mother, Janie Dixon Kirkland; stepfather, Jerome Kirkland; brother, Michael Leonard; and a niece, Dana Leonard.

     The service to celebrate his life will be conducted at 12 Noon and Thursday, June 25th, 2026, from the Chapel of Norton Funeral Home.
