Charles Davis

Charlotte, N.C. Graveside services for Charles Wesley Davis, age 79, who passed away May 2 will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at the Magnolia Cemetery . Mr. Davis was born in Hartsville a son of the late W.T. & Nealie Davis.He served four years in the U.S. Navy and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 34 years of service . Surviving are his wife, Edna Hammonds Davis; one son, Donald Charles (Rita) Davis, Bluffton, S.C.; two daughters, Sherell (Benny) Ingle, Columbus, Miss., Pamela ( Ronald ) Benfield, Statesville, N.C.; 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Ryerson and twin brother Donald L. Davis. Norton Funeral Home will serve the family and Pastor Tim Brittain will officiate. www.nortonfh.net
