Chad was at home when he passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was born in Hartsville, a 1989 graduate of Hartsville High School, he was always a big fan of Our Red Foxes. He worked at Sonoco Products Company in the Paper Mill for 29 years, he was a carpenter by trade as well. Chad was a simple man with few words, although his silence spoke volumes. He loved big, he was the best Husband, Deddy, and Pop that his family could ever ask for. Chad was married to his high school sweetheart, he and Angie wrote the book on how true love really should be.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 27 years, Angie Johnson Gainey, Hartsville; daughters, Emily (Paul) McRae, Hartsville, Randa Leigh-Anne Gainey, (Chapin Rhodes), Hartsville; son, Gadge Gainey, (Haley Flowers), Hartsville; grandchildren, Judah Reign McRae and a granddaughter on the way, Jessy McRae.
The family has a few requests, they are asking guest at the funeral to dress casual in Chad’s remembrance, and in Lieu of flowers, please pray for peace and understanding for this sweet family.
Norton Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Gainey family.
