Paige Brown Phelps, age 50, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, surrounded by love. Originally from Hartsville, South Carolina, Paige later made her home in Surfside Beach, where her vibrant spirit continued to shine brightly.
Paige’s joyful spirit was a gift to all who knew her, and her laughter left every room brighter than it was before. She had a special gift for making others feel deeply seen, valued, and loved. With big dreams and a creative heart, she embraced life with excitement and wonder. She was always filled with ideas and hope for what was ahead.
Above all else, Paige’s greatest pride and deepest love was her family. Her children were her whole world, and she poured her heart into loving and supporting them every day. As a devoted wife, fiercely loving mother, and cherished sister, aunt, and friend, Paige gave of herself fully to others. Her faith in Jesus was not just something she spoke about. It was something she lived out daily through kindness, encouragement, and selfless love for others. Paige was deeply rooted in the unshakable hope she held in Christ and the promise of Heaven.
Paige is survived by her husband, Scott Phelps; her children, Anna Carlin (24), Jayden (18), Gracie (18), and Journi (15); her sister, Cameron Brown Watford; and her nieces and nephews, Ashley Griffitts, Chafin Griffitts Emmerling, and Dustin Watford. She is also lovingly remembered by many other family members and friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.
Paige was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Huggins Brown; her father, Johnny Brown; and her sister, Connie Brown Griffitts. Today, we rejoice in knowing she is healed and reunited with her loved ones, resting in the presence of her Savior.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Hartsville, South Carolina. Family and friends are invited to gather for a reception one hour prior to the service at the church, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. A reception will also follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
Paige lived by the words, “Leave a little sparkle wherever you go.” In that spirit, her family invites those attending her Celebration of Life to wear a touch of sparkle—glitter, sequins, shimmer, or anything that reflects the joy and light she so freely shared. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on through her family and through every life she encouraged, uplifted, and loved so well.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a Faith-based fund managed by Scott Phelps, in support of Paige’s children as they navigate this time. (details on how to donate are forthcoming)
Norton Funeral Home & Crematory of Hartsville, SC is honored to be with the Phelps' family during this time.
