Carol Ann Oliver

Carol Ann Oliver (Linsinbigler), age 69, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 28, 2026, in Hartsville, South Carolina. Born in Berwick, Pennsylvania, Carol was a beloved wife, sister, cousin, and friend who brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her. 

Carol built a dedicated career in the power industry, starting in her hometown where she worked for Bechtel in 1975 at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station. She relocated to South Carolina in 1985, where she continued her professional journey, working at the H.B. Robinson nuclear power plant in Hartsville until her retirement.Outside of her career, 

Carol took immense pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment for those she loved. She spent many happy hours taking care of her home, tending to every detail with care and devotion. An incredibly talented and patient person, Carol also loved doing needlepoint, creating beautiful pieces of art that her family will cherish forever. Her kind spirit and gentle nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Oliver; her sister, Sandra Linsinbigler Robbins and husband Noel; her nephew, Jeremy Robbins and wife Penny, along with their children, Preston and Bailee. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Bill Oliver, and Bob Oliver and his wife Carolyn; her sister-in-law, Joanne and husband Bert McFarland; her very close cousin, Marty Cain and his companion Ann Sheatler; Marty’s sons, Travis Cain (fiancée Heather Martin) and Ryan Cain; as well as numerous extended cousins and dear friends.Carol was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Donald and Colleen Linsinbigler.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 6:00 pm, September 1 at Calvary Tabernacle Church, 1812 East BoBo Newsom Highway, Hartsville, S.C. Rev. Tim Skipper will officiate. Visitation will be following the service at the church, directed by Norton Funeral Home.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Berwick, PA, with the specific date and time to be announced by the family once arrangements are finalized. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's or cancer research organizations of the donor's choice in either Pennsylvania or South Carolina.
