Brenda Fowler Ousley

With profound sadness, we remember and celebrate the life of Brenda Fowler Ousley, who departed this world on August 19, 2026, at the age of 80, in the comforting surroundings of Springdale Healthcare Center, Camden, SC.

Born in Hartsville, SC, Brenda was the beloved daughter of Arnold C. Fowler and Jean Byrd Fowler. Her vibrant spirit was as distinctive as her striking red hair, high heels, and elegant makeup. An avid reader, she immersed herself in books, often carrying home as many as twenty from the library. Brenda's remarkable talent for cross-stitching left cherished mementos with friends and family. Her love for music filled her life with joy, as did her affection for her many cherished feline companions, including her adored "baby girl." In her later years, she found delight in watching The Food Network, a testament to her enduring curiosity and zest for life.

Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Michael Todd Ousley and Traci Renee Ousley, and her grandchildren, Jamie Kim (JeeJun) and Parker Ousley. Her sister, Cynthia "Cindy" Fowler Dempsey (Bobby), along with her nieces and nephews, Bill Dempsey, Candace Norton, Winthrop Dempsey (Amy), Tyler D. Poole, Kinley Dempsey, Kirsten Norton, and Wint Dempsey, carry forward her memory. Affectionately known as Nana Boo by her grandchildren and Aunt Boo by her nieces and nephews, her endearing presence will be deeply missed.

Preceding her in passing were her parents, her brother Jerome A. Fowler, her best friend Cynthia Parker, and her niece Dawn M. Munn.

While no services are scheduled at this time, we hold her close in our hearts.

Norton Funeral Home and Crematory feels privileged to serve the Ousley family. "Memories are the Legacy of Love."
