Bob Laverne "Rock" Beasley

Hartsville, SC 

     Mr. Bob Laverne “Rock” Beasley, 82, passed away Sunday evening, February 18^th, 2024, while at Carolina Pines with his family at the bedside.

     Rock was born in Hartsville, a son of the late Thomas Brunson & Mel Yarborough Beasley.  He enjoyed farming and loved his family.  He retired from Sara Lee Hosiery after 25+ years of service and later worked for the Darlington County Recycling Center on Bay Road.  

     Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Shirley Smith Beasley of the home; children, Sherry Beasley Stallings and Bob L. Beasley, Jr. both of Hartsville; grandchild, Rex Allen (Samantha Sambo) Stallings; siblings: Jerry (Barbara Ann) Beasley, Charles (Gayle) Beasley, Harold Beasley, Carol Beasley, and Wanda Jean (Murphy) Griggs; special brother-in-law, Ernest Mixon. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Ruth Mixon, Ruby Bailey, Robert Beasley, Bobby Bell Feagin, Doris Johnson, George Beasley, and Diane Mixon; special niece, Cathy Matuse, also, several other nieces and nephews.

     A family-led memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 on Saturday morning, March 2nd, 2024, from Bible Truth Holiness Church.
