Going Home Services for Betty Jean Truett age 84 will be held Sunday at 2:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Hall will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family request that everyone attending the service wear a face mask and honor the Covid 19 guidelines  and please turn cell phones off.

Mrs. Truett was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late John G. Gainey and Mary Shumake Gainey. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She retired from the Markette Store. She was a loving wife, MaMa, Grandma and Granny T.

Surviving are one daughter, Teresa Truett, Hartsville; two grandchildren, Jason (Cyndee) Anderson, Hartsville and Wade Truett, Hartsville; two great grandchildren, Vanessa and Aria Anderson, Hartsville; one special niece, Rhonda James, Hartsville; one daughter in law, Gloria Truett, Hartsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Truett; two sons, Richard Allen Truett and John Wade Truett; one granddaughter, Laura Truett.
