It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Ann Rhodes Boan, age 77. Mrs. Boan passed away August 5 while at Carolina Pines RMC in Hartsville with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home in Boshopville. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tyrone Mitchum will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ann was born in Hartsville a daughter of the late William (Bill) Rhodes and Betty Hagood Rhodes. She attended both Mel’s Chapel Church and Bible Truth Holiness Church.

She devoted her life to serving the Lord and thoroughly enjoyed singing the praises of God. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and cherished friend to many. She taught us the importance of being kind and compassionate to everyone and loving deeply. She will be remembered for her strength, love, and compassion by all that knew her. We will miss her more than words can say, but find comfort in knowing she is in the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ. Rest in peace, Mama. Your loving memory will live on in our hearts forever.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Boan, Bishopville and Marsha Wyatt, Sumter; one grandchild, Justin Wyatt, Florence; one great grandchild, Dakoda Wyatt, Florence; one great-great grandchild, Wyatt Evans, Florence; one sister, Brenda Britt, Darlington; two nieces, Donna Bell, Manning and Angela Whitehead, North Carolina; one nephew, Chris Dalrymple, Darlington;

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Eugene Boan; daughter, Alice (Libby) Olivia Erwin; grandchild, Travis Lee Wyatt; great grandchild, Bentley Wyatt; one sister Barbara Jean Blain; granddaughter in law, Kelly Wyatt and a niece, Cynthia Armstrong.
