Almena Gainey Galloway

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Mrs. Almena Gainey Galloway age 90. Mrs. Galloway passed away January 20, 2026, while at Waterstone on Augusta Assisted Living in Greenville, S.C. 

Funeral services for Mena Galloway, 90 will be held on Friday, January 30 at 2 pm at the Norton Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Todd Davis of St. Luke United Methodist Church will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be at Westview Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Luke United Methodist Church, 302 Dunlap Dr., Hartsville, SC 29550.

Mena Galloway died Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Born in Hartsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carl W. and Margaret Gainey. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She was retired from Saleeby Law Firm. Surviving are; sons and daughters-in-law, Wes and Gwen Galloway of Lancaster, SC, Scott and Roxanne Galloway of Tampa, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Meg and Bill Batts of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Ashley Galloway-Speight (Brady), Joey Galloway (Heather), Joseph Batts (Hart), and Carl Batts; great-grandchildren, CJ Speight, Declann Speight, and Ethan Galloway.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Galloway; sister Annie Lou King; and brother JW Gainey
