Alice G. Shupe

Mrs. Alice Gertrude Shupe, 83, of Bishopville, passed away Friday morning, December 23^rd, 2022, while at McCoy Nursing Center.

Her service will be conducted at 2:00 on Tuesday afternoon, December 27^th, 2022, from Savannah Advent Christian Church.  Reverend John Gallagher will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  The family will be meeting at 20 Rogers Rd., Bishopville.

A native and lifelong resident of Bishopville, Mrs. Shupe was a daughter of the late Sidney & Gertrude Wilson.  Alice retired from the manufacturing industry, being the first lady to ever be on the Dupont Fire Brigade.  She loved crafting and once owned her own craft store.  Alice was a member of Savannah Advent Christian Church and taught Sunday-School there at the church.

Surviving are her children, Nancy (David) Parker of Bishopville and Paul James (Christy) Susie, III of Wilmington, NC; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Aldridge of Lexington; also surviving are several other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Ian Susie; and several siblings.
